Meet Dr. Berkay Başağaoğlu

Dr. Berkay Başağaoğlu is a Board Eligible plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. He is known among his patients for combining precise surgical skill with a genuine, personal investment in their care.

Originally from Türkiye and Iran, he spent his early years growing up on the West Coast in California, Idaho, and Oregon before his family moved to Texas. It was there that he found his path into medicine, earning a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He went on to attend medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in recognition of his academic excellence. Dr. Başağaoğlu then completed a rigorous six-year integrated Plastic Surgery residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Başağaoğlu is a member of the medical staff at Piedmont Hospital, Emory University, and Northside Hospital.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Başağaoğlu enjoys spending time with his wife, Layne, and his family and friends. He loves the outdoors and is an avid tennis player. He also has a passion for art and enjoys figure drawing.
