Meet Dr. Samantha Cummins

Dr. Samantha Cummins, MD
Dr. Samantha Cummins is a Board Certified female plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, breast and body. With an unassuming personality and genuine ability to connect with patients, Dr. Cummins focuses on helping you to achieve the most confident version of yourself. It is her goal for your surgery experience to be distinguished by the highest level of trust, privacy and comfort.
As a female plastic surgeon, Dr. Cummins especially enjoys surgery of the breast and body to restore aesthetic form and function. She specializes in primary breast augmentation, revision breast implant surgery, abdominal contouring procedures including the mommy makeover, as well as breast cancer reconstruction. Dr. Cummins is excited to offer women increased access and options for breast cancer reconstruction. Using a shared decision-making approach, she focuses on connecting with her patients on a personal level to provide patient-centered care, personalized surgical planning and the most natural results. In addition to implant-based reconstruction, she offers cutting-edge techniques for “own tissue” breast reconstruction including deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flaps, “stacked” flaps, profunda artery perforator (PAP) flaps, and lumbar artery perforator (LAP) flaps.
Dr. Cummins grew up in Connecticut and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a dual degree in Molecular Cell Biology and Global Health. She subsequently attended medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Cummins completed a six-year plastic surgery residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas where she was also appointed Administrative Chief Resident, a liaison between her peers and faculty. She has since been practicing in Atlanta, GA at Peachtree Plastic Surgery. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Gold Humanism Honor Society and is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Actively involved in community support activities, she also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and caring for her two dogs. Dr. Cummins is married to an orthopedic trauma surgeon and they welcomed their son in January 2025. A former competitive martial artist, she continues to focus on functional fitness and wellness as a pastime.
Dr. Cummins has hospital privileges at Piedmont Atlanta, Piedmont Henry, Northside Hospital Atlanta, is a member of the Piedmont Clinic, and participates with most insurance plans.
